The Dalles Chronicle, August 30, 2004
     Sherry Lynn Yates, 47, a resident of The Dalles, died at the local 
hospital on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004.
     She was born Aug. 18, 1957 in The Dalles, to John Perry and Gladys May 
(Carroll) Yates, the fifth of seven children in their family.
     She was raised in The Dalles, and she lived in Portland, Eugene and 
Springfield before returning to The Dalles later on.
     She is survived by her special friend and companion, Curt Corson, The 
Dalles; two sons, David J. and Daniel A. Dunn, both of Federal Way, Wash.; two 
sisters, Sue Miles and her husband, Mearl, The Dalles; Sheila Covert and her 
husband, Richard, Port Orchard, Wash.; four brothers, John Burbank and his 
wife, Sandee, Mosier; Jack Yates and his wife, Debbie, Mosier; Darren Goolsby, 
The Dalles; James Goolsby and his wife Anna, Port Orchard; numerous nieces and 
nephews.
     Memorial services will be held at a later date.
     Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with 
Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army, PO Box 380, The Dalles, 
OR 97058.
