     Hugh Waldo Wyman, 86, a resident of The Dalles, died at a local care 
facility Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004. 
     He was born Dec. 22, 1917 in Aberdeen, Wash., the third of four children 
to Hugh Ernest and Anna Louise (Reinhardt) Wyman. He was raised in Oregon and 
graduated from Toledo High School in the Class of 1935. 
     He lived in Portland and served in the U.S. Navy in 1942 during World War 
II. After the service, he moved to Vancouver, Wash., to work for the railroad, 
then worked in construction as a carpenter and concrete worker in the Portland 
area. In 1974, he retired from the Carpenter’s Union, moved to Dufur and spent 
winters in Arizona until 1994, when he settled in The Dalles area. 
     He married Dorothy Agnes Parker in Portland in 1947 and they enjoyed 
their travel trailer, “RVing” and motor homes.
     He is survived by his sister, Anita Gibbs, Caldwell, Idaho; nieces and 
nephews, including Linda and her husband, Lloyd Fowler, Coquille, and Jacy and 
Keri Gibbs, Wilder, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy A. 
Wyman on Feb. 18, 2003; his brother, Austin and his sister, Elva.
     Private entombment services will be held at The Dalles Odd Fellows 
Memorial Mausoleum. Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home is in care of 
arrangements.
     Memorials may be made to Hospice of The Gorge, 751 Myrtle St., The 
Dalles, OR 97058.
