He was buried Jan. 18, in private services at the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Mr. Wright was born in Fullerton, Calif. He was a communications specialist with the 13th Air Force in WWII, was employed by General Electric in Richland, Wash. before graduating from Washington State University in 1952. He was then employed by DuPont in Savannah, Ga and Wilmington, De before moving to The Dalles in 1963 where he was employed by Harvey Aluminum Co., later Martin Marietta, until his retirement in 1982. Surviving are his wife, Norma; four daughters, Karen Wilson of Salem, Rebecca Jones of Vancouver, Wash., Linda Hendricks of Newport and Patricia Erikson of The Dalles; four grandchildren; three brothers, David Wright of Rockville, Md, Wakefield Wright of Richland, Wash., and William Wright of Yakima, Wash.; two sisters Margretha Hawn of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Catherine Good of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif. At his reuest, contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society. Smith Callaway Chapel was in charge of funeral arrangements.
