The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 3, 1984
     Clifford A. (Mac) Wood, 81 died in Portland May 1.  He was born in La 
Grande Dec. 7, 1902 and resided in The Dalles since 1930.

     Mr. Wood is survived by his wife Flora; two sons, Jack Wood of The Dalles 
and Norman Wood of Portland; granddaughter Diana Rayner, Albany; grandsons 
Mark of Portland, Scott of Grants pass, and Jeff of Bend; nephew Robert Recken 
of Portland.

     He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, past president of Eagles 
lodge, life member and past Master of Wasco Lodge #15 AF and AM, life member 
of Knights of Templars, life member of Order of Eastern Star, chairman of The 
Dalles Civil Service Commission for 30 years, chairman of The Dalles Lions 
Club blind program, The Dalles Rod and Gun Club, Oregon Cattlemen’s 
Association, and he was Wasco County Tax Assessor for 21 years.

     Smith Callaway Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

     There will be private mausoleum entombment Friday, May 4.  Memorial 
services will be at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. that same day with 
the right Reverent Rusty Kimsey and Rev. Ric Simpson officiating.
