The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 22, 1983
     Herman Robert Wischnack, 77, a resident of The Dalles for the past five 
years and formerly a resident of Olive, Calif., died Dec. 13 at Mid-Columbia 
Medical Center.
     He was born Aug. 8, 1906 in Olive.
     He worked as a produce vender until his retirement, when he moved to The 
Dalles.  He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Olive.
     Survivors include his wife, Ruth, whom he married in Olive on June 17, 
1925; two sons, Robert W., Nevada City, Calif., and Dean, Palm Desert, Calif.; 
a daughter, Mrs. Rich (Bonnie) Sudeith, The Dalles; seven grandchildren; eight 
great-grandchildren; and a sister, Matilda Timme, Orange, Calif.
     Funeral services were Friday at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home with 
the Rev. Eugene Schooler officiating.  Burial was Monday at Fairhaven Memorial 
Park in Santa Ana, Calif.
