He was born Jan. 11, 1914 in Cecil. He was one of nine children to Robert Samuel Wilson and Minnie Montague Wilson of Boardman. He was a graduate of Boardman High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He married Etoile S. Simmons (Simmie) in 1942 and settled in Portland. He joined Poulson Wilson in 1964 and served as President until his death. He was active at Riverside Golf and Country Club and founded and operated Wilson’s Willow Run Golf Course on the family farm in Boardman. Survivors include his wife and three sisters, Phyllis Baker and Brick Duffy, both of The Dalles, and Audrey Smith, Portland, and many niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, R. E. (Pat) Wilson, and Ted Wilson; and three sisters, Imogen Johnston, Elsie McClaskey and Gladys Morrison. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Gresham Funeral Chapel, 257 SE Roberts Ave., Gresham. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14 at Riverview Cemetery in Boardman. Memorial contributions may be made to Loaves and Fishes or Providence Hospital.
