    Vena Mae Williams, 81, died at her home in The Dalles on Aug. 30, 2005.
She was born in Goldendale on Nov. 17, 1923 to Alva and Mabel Brown. She 
married John Williams on Jan. 17, 1958.
     She attended school in Goldendale.
     She was a homemaker and mother, and loved gardening, fishing, woodworking 
and crafting of any kind.
     Survivors include a stepsons, John Williams, Astoria; and Dwayne (Sharon) 
Williams, Goldendale; sisters, Geneva Wyatt and her husband, Ed, Goldendale; 
Rita Stratton and husband, Don, The Dalles; Edythe Voygt, Goldendale; 
stepdaughters, Marge Proctor and husband, Ron, Camas, Wash.; and Carol Wade 
and husband, Mike, Ohio; brother, Keith Brown, The Dalles, and many 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her husband; stepdaughter, Patty Sitton, 
Alaska; daughter, Linda Gibbs, Spokane; twin sister, Vina Mae Springer, 
Hermiston; brother Oris Brown, Goldendale, and her parents.
     A celebration of life will be at the New Life Pentecostal Church in The 
Dalles on Sept. 3, at 11 a.m.
     Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Gorge.
