The Dalles Weekly Reminder, August 25, 1983
     Gene Arnold Wichelmann, 35, a resident of the Antelope area for the past 
1-1/2 years, died Aug. 17 of an accidental gunshot wound at his home.
     He was born Jan. 14, 1948 in Davenport, Iowa, worked as a carpenter in 
that area.
     Survivors include his wife, Marcia, Antelope; two sons, Todd and Paul, 
Antelope; two stepsons, Kenneth Thompson, Antelope, and Bryon Thompson, 
Beaverton; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester W. Wichelmann, Davenport, and two 
sisters, Diana Meersman, Moline, Ill., and Nadine Beolkers, Davenport.
     Memorial services were Monday at Antelope Community Church.  Spencer, 
Libby & Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
