White, 74, a resident of Gresham and a former resident of Klickitat County, died April 3, 2004 in Portland. She was born June 16, 1929 in Gallup, N.M. to William and Thelma Knowlton. She attended schools in New Mexico, California and Oregon and was married to Don White on Dec. 24, 1948 in Goldendale. While in Goldendale, she worked for the local Safeway store, the Red and White store and National Bank of Commerce. The family moved to Lyle in 1960 and in 1967 to Carson. She continued to work for the bank in White Salmon until she retired.They bought a motor home and spent five years on the road before settling in Gresham. She enjoyed all types of handicrafts and art. She enjoyed fishing and water skiing but most of all enjoyed her family. She is survived by husband, Don, Gresham; two sons, Terry and his wife, Rebecca White, Payola, Kan.; Don Jr. and his wife, Chris, Monroe, Wash.; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four sisters; Sally Hancock, San Diego; Bea Mesecher, Goldendale; Lois Vanderlinden, Tulsa, Okla.; and Ruslee Reed, Big Pool, Md. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 7, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Erdman Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Akins officiating. Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery.
