The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 15, 1995
     Blanche E. (Logan) Westphal, a resident of The Dalles for the past seven 
years and former longtime resident of White Salmon, died at her home in The 
Dalles on Monday, Dec. 11.  She was 77.
     She was born Sept. 4, 1918 in Edison, Neb., the youngest of nine children 
to Clyde and Mary Clark.
     She married Francis E. Logan in 1938 and he preceded her in death in 
1984.  She married Val Westphal in 1988.
     She was a longtime member of The Dalles Country Club and the White Salmon 
Emblem Club.
     She is survived by her husband, Val Westphal of The Dalles; son, Ronald 
L. Logan and his wife, Geraldine, of White Salmon; daughter, Donna Mollet and 
her husband, Glen, of The Dalles; eight grandchildren; seven great-
grandchildren; stepson, Greg Westphal and his wife, Sharon, of Portland; step-
daughter, Valerie Bissett of Oregon City; five step-grandchildren and one step-
great-grandchild.
     At her request, formal funeral services will not be held.  There will be 
a private family gathering at a later date.

White Salmon, Wash., 98672, or Hospice of the Gorge in care of Smith Callaway 
Chapel, 311 Union Street, The Dalles.
