Wakley iwakley@msn.com December 22, 2006, 9:14 pm The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 24, 1984 Mrs. Edna H. Weedman, 78, died Friday at a local nursing home. She was a resident of Wasco from 1950 until she moved to The Dalles in 1974. She was born to a pioneer family in Sherman County on June 8, 1905 at Klondike. Her grandparents, Henry and Nellie Jacks, homesteaded in Sherman County in 1880. Their daughter, Elizabeth, married A. B. Potter in 1886, and the couple settled near Klondike, where Mrs. Weedman was born. She married Guy Weedman on May 20, 1924. The family left Sherman County, but returned in 1950. Mr. Weedman died in 1972. Also preceeding her in death was a granddaughter, Debbie, in 1965. She was a member of the Annie Fulton Chapter, Order of Eastern Star for 48 years. Survivors include a son, George Weedman, Klondike, three grandchildren, Linda Sandlin, Parkdale; Michael and Guy Weedman, both of Moro; six great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were Tuesday at Sunrise Cemetery in Wasco, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Rev. Ernie Smith conducted services. Memorials may be made to the Mid-Columbia Council on Aging-Homemaker Service in care of Smith Callaway Chapel.
