She was born July 22, 1916 in Hartford, Conn., the youngest of four children to Amede Valentine and Laura Adeline (Burrell) Bibeau. The family moved to the Boring area and she attended Gresham High School. She married George Watson on March 19, 1947 in Portland. She owned and operated Shanny’s Tavern in North Portland in the 1950’s and 60’s. She moved to the Pine Hollow area in the late 90’s. She is survived by her son, Henry “Hank” and his wife, Michelle Watson, Maupin; one grandson, Wesley and his wife, Teresa Watson, Portland; one great- granddaughter, Brittney. She was preceded in death by three sisters. No public funeral services will be held. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
