The Dalles Chronicle, February 28, 2006
     Lyle Alberta Watson, 74, a resident of The Dalles, died at a local care 
facility on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006.
     She was born in Los Angeles, on Feb. 27, 1931 the third of four children 
to Albert Lyle and Lulu (Wing) May. After awhile the family moved to The 
Dalles, where she grew up and attended The Dalles High School.
     She married Richard Hutchinson Watson in The Dalles on Feb. 5, 1949. She 
was a homemaker and loved sewing, knitting, crafts and camping.
     She is survived by her daughter, Pam LaRue and her husband Mike, 
Sycamore, Ill.; her son Richard (Butch) Watson and his wife Janice, The 
Dalles; her grandchildren, Dawn Michel Foglestad and her husband Michael , 
Matthew LaRue and his wife Mary, Chuka Watson and his wife Shawna, and Sarah 
Watson; and nine great-grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Colton, Aaron, 
Kaiden, Sierra, Shaynie, Kaylee, and Yanae.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Watson; her parents; 
her sister Anna and her brother Bill.
     Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory, with 
Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
     Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Gorge, 751 Myrtle St., The 
Dalles, OR 97058.
