The Dalles Weekly Reminder, September 22, 1995
     Robert Roger Washburn, formerly of The Dalles, died Sept. 16, 1995 in a 
truck accident near Cascade Locks.  He was 52.
     He was born Dec. 22, 1942 in Portland, and married DeAnne L. Evenson in 
1963.
     While in The Dalles, he was owner of The Dalles Marine and RV, and was 
known as "Boatman Bob."  He also owned businesses in Coos Bay and Portland, 
and most recently had been an owner-operator truck driver based in Portland.
     Survivors include his wife, DeAnne Washburn, Portland; a daughter, Kim, 
Seattle; a son, Robb, Pendleton; his mother, Helen Washburn, Salem; and a 
sister, Helen Hickey, Lake Oswego.
     Memorials:  American Heart Association.
