The Dalles Weekly Reminder, July 19, 1984
Eldon C. Ward, 84, died at Columbia Basin Nursing Home, July 14.  He was a 
life-long resident of Wasco County and a resident of The Dalles for the past 
12 years.

He was born Jan. 14, 1900 in Boyd.  He was a wheat and cattle rancher in the 
Boyd area, and was a life-long member of the Elks Lodge No. 303.

He is survived by his wife, Violet H. Ward, The Dalles; two grandsons, John 
Ward, The Dalles, and Sam, Phoenix, Ariz.; two great grandddaughters, Jennifer 
and Carrie Ward, The Dalles.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, at Smith Callaway Chapel.  Commital 
services were held at St. Peter Cemetery following the funeral service.  
Pastor Asa Jenson officiated.  Pallbearers included Ken and Ralph Bisset, 
George and Fred Fax, John Kerege and Harold Howard.

The family suggests contributions to the St. Peter Catholic Church building 
fund, c-o St. Peter Catholic Church.
