The Dalles Chronicle, August 8, 2004
     Carlton Laurence Walter, 92, of Richland, Wash. died Monday, Aug. 2, 
2004, at a care center in Richland.
     He was born to Harold and Gracie (Daniels) Walter on May 28, 1912 in The 
Dalles. He lived in The Dalles-Hood River area most of his life and worked for 
The Dalles in the water department.
     He was a member of the Bible study group at the care center, and he loved 
hunting for rocks and going to rock shows.
     He was preceded in death by his sister, Melba Melissa Wasson and brother, 
Robert William Walters.
     He is survived by his sister-in-law, Ora Walters of Richland; nephew, 
Jerry Lee Wasson, niece, Jeannie Viada, nephews, Robert Walters, Jr., Gregory 
Walters and James Walters; four great nieces and three great nephews; and 
numerous great great nieces and nephews.
     Visitation will be at Einan’s Funeral Home from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, 
Aug. 10, 2004.
     Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, in 
the Odd Fellows Cemetery in The Dalles.
     Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Research 
Center University of Washington RP-10 Seattle, WA 98195.
