The Dalles Chronicle, March 5, 2004
     Lawrence “Marvin” Wall, 74, a resident of The Dalles, died at the Oregon 
Veterans’ Home on Monday, March 1, 2004.
     He was born Oct. 13, 1929, in Wapinitia, the youngest of three children 
to Samuel F. and Salina Maude (Paquet) Wall. He was raised on Juniper Flat and 
graduated from Maupin High School.
     He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and then returned 
to Maupin and worked in the sawmill. After working in the sawmill, he started 
work with Bonneville Power Administration and retired as a lineman in the 
1980’s. He traveled extensively with his work, and upon his retirement, 
settled in Sequim, Wash. In the mid-90’s, he moved to Dufur where he lived 
until moving to The Dalles in the late 90’s.
     He was a member of Eagles Lodge, enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting 
and his boat. 
     He is survived by his wife, Margaret, whom he married in White Salmon on 
Aug. 8, 1972, of The Dalles; two sons, Larry Wall, Bend; and Bradley Wall, 
Cooper, Texas; his daughter, Marla and her husband, Doug MacNab, Bend; his 
step-daughter, Brenda Hood, The Dalles; his step-son, John and his wife, Carol 
Neely, McMinnville; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and his 
brother, Bill Wall, Hood River.
     Family services will be held at a later date. Private cremation was held 
at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home 
in care of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Oregon Veterans’ Home, 700 
Veterans’ Drive, The Dalles, OR 97058.
