Wakley iwakley@msn.com April 16, 2006, 11:38 am The Dalles Chronicle, October 14, 2005 Allan “Al” Russell Waldron, 77, a resident of Moro, died at his home on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005. He was born June 1, 1928, in St. Helens, the oldest of three children to Guy Everett and Blossom L. (Garrison) Waldron. He grew up and attended school in Oregon City. He served in the Army from October 1953 to December 1955. After the service, he returned to Oregon and worked as a log truck driver. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, wood carving, square dancing and gardening. Al is survived by his wife, Audrey Joann Waldron, whom he married March 29, 1963, in Vancouver, Wash.; his children, Virginia Bachman, Horace, N.D.; David Waldron, Sheridan; Violet Bombal, Decatur, ILL., and Dorothy Harman, Salem; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother and sister. Family services will be held at a later date. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Gorge, 751 Myrtle St., The Dalles, OR 97058.
