The Dalles Chronicle, April 13, 2005
     Denny Ray Wageman, 61, a resident of The Dalles, died at the local 
hospital on Sunday, April 10, 2005. 
     He was born March 25, 1944, in Twin Falls, Idaho, the third of four 
children to Phillip and Bonita Josephine (Jack) Wageman. He was raised in 
Idaho and Umatilla and moved to The Dalles in 1954. 
     He worked as a caregiver in his younger years at Dammasch State Hospital 
in Wilsonville, Columbia Park State Hospital in The Dalles, Columbia Gorge 
Center and Red’s Trading Post. He also was an entrepreneur having his own 
small engine repair business for 14 years. 
     He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, fishing, hiking, the 
outdoors, and bartering. 
     He is survived by his mother, Bonita J. Wageman, The Dalles; three 
brothers, Larry and his wife, Janet Wageman, Tacoma, Wash.; Cliff and his 
wife, Nancy Wageman, Portland; and Gary Couture, Alaska: his ex-wife, Gayle 
Wageman, The Dalles; numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He is also 
survived by his two dogs, PeeWee and Panda. He was preceded in death by his 
father, Phillip Wageman and his brother, Darrell Wageman. 
     Viewing visitation will be held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home 
from 2 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 14, and Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to the 
beginning of the services. 
     Funeral services will be held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home 
at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 15, with Pastor Mike Wilson officiating. Private 
interment will be held at Dufur Community Cemetery. 
     Memorial contributions may be made to his mother, Bonnie Wageman, 4728 
Lockwood St., The Dalles, OR 97058.
