     Don Henry Vandenberg, 56, a resident of Madras, died on Nov. 23, 2005 of 
natural causes.
     He was born Sept. 4, 1949 in Ellensburg, Wash. to George Vandenberg and 
Virginia White Vandenberg.
     He was a 1967 graduate of Sandy High School and attended two years of 
college.
     He married Bobbie (VanNess) Vandenberg on Sept. 30, 1971 at Vancouver.
     He worked for the public works department of Gresham and after an 
accident in 1978 that left him a quadriplegic he served on the Impact 
Committee in 2001 through 2005.
     He was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness in 1982 and enjoyed informal 
witnessing, hunting, fishing and drawing with his mouth. His artwork hangs in 
homes and Kingdom Halls all over Oregon.
     Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Vandenberg, Madras; his mother, 
Virginia White; a son, Don Vandenberg Jr., The Dalles; daughters, Celena 
Helms, Culver, Tina Gaspard and Lisa Kramer; a brother, Ray Vandenberg, Sandy; 
sisters, Georgia Mertes, Gresham; Donna Dobin, Sandy; Laura Vandenberg, Las 
Vegas; Janice Vandenberg, Portland; Cindy Vandenberg, California; and nine 
grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his father and a grandson.
     A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 at Kingdom 
Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Madras.
     Memorials may be made to Mt.View Hospice in care of Mt. View Hospital. 
Bel Air Colonial Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
