    Sarah Marie Turner-Weems, 25, a former resident of The Dalles, died in 
Springfield on Saturday, March 20, 2004.
     She was born Nov. 28, 1978, in The Dalles, the younger of two children to 
William Benjamin and Phyllis Mary (Sherrouse) Turner.
     She grew up in The Dalles and attended Joseph G. Wilson Grade School and 
graduated from The Dalles High School in the Class of 1997.
     She was involved with the Girl Scouts, Leslie Maley's Dance Club, ballet 
and was a member of the high school cheerleading squad, the band and the choir.
     She was a fifth year student at the University of Oregon and was to 
graduate this Spring with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.
     She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in The Dalles.
     Sarah is survived by her husband, Steven Derril Weems, whom she married 
on Feb. 1, 2000, in Springfield; her parents, Bill and Phyllis Turner, The 
Dalles; her brother, Matthew and his wife, Wendy Turner, Kent, Wash.; 
grandparents, Elbert Sherrouse, Medford, and Bill and Shirley Turner, Oxnard, 
Calif.; aunt and uncle, William and Randa Southwick, Grants Pass; cousins, 
Heather Southwick, Medford, and Sterling Southwick, Vancouver, Wash.
     Funeral services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 3350 Columbia 
View Drive, The Dalles on Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 10 a.m. with Pastor 
Steve Anable.
     Interment will follow at The Dalles Cherry Heights Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home are in care of arrangements.
     Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 3350 Columbia View 
Drive, The Dalles, OR 97058.
