She was born April 13, 1929 in Wamic, the second of four children to Albert Lyle and Lulu (Wing) May. She was raised in Wamic, The Dalles and graduated from The Dalles High School in the Class of 1947 and married Milford Junior Trapp on Oct. 15, 1948 in The Dalles. She loved being a grandmother, mother, and wife. Her hobbies included yard sales, making crafts, family camping at Rock Creek, coin collecting and Disney movies with the grandkids. She was a founding member of Celilo Bowmen Archery Club, active with The Dalles Little League, and a member of The Evangelical Church of North America. Anna is survived by her husband, Milford “Mel” Trapp, her husband of 55 years; The Dalles; children, Terry and his wife, Brenda Trapp, The Dalles; Steve and and his wife, Nancy Trapp, Portland; Ronald Trapp, Sandy; Vicky Trapp, Springfield; Lisa and her husband, Harold Whedon, Portland; 16 grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Jennifer, Shateva, Andrew, Julie, Tiffany, Amy, Jamie, Molly, Dustin, Tabatha, Jarred, Mandie, Jon and Laura; her great-grandson, Ethan; her sister, Lyle Watson and one brother, Charlie May, both of The Dalles. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill May. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory. Memorial services will be held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m., the Rev. Karl J. Vercouteren officiating. Interment of cremains will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery on Three Mile Road. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Academy, 1112 Cherry Heights Rd., The Dalles, OR 97058.
