The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 1, 1983
     Lillie Olive Tindall, 88, a resident of The Dalles since 1906, died 
Monday at a nursing home in The Dalles.
     She was born July 7, 1895 in Paulding, Ohio.
     She was a member of First Congregational Church, Wasco County Pioneers, 
Gray Ladies, American Red Cross, Chenowith Grange, BB Garden Club and numerous 
other civic organizations.  She was also Woman of the Year in 1963.
     Survivors include three nieces, Grace Gosson, The Dalles; Alice 
Wilkerson, Portland and Alma Grover, Myrtle Point, and numerous cousins, 
including Jim Turner, The Dalles.
     Funeral services were today at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home 
with the Rev. Karl Vercouteren officiating.  Burial followed at The Dalles 
IOOF Cemetery.
     Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army.
