She was born September 30, 1929, to Henry H. and Sylvia A. (Wiedenkofer) Briley in Los Angeles (California). She grew up and was educated in Eads, Colorado. Eventually she returned to Los Angeles in the early 1950s. On May 18, 1957, she married Hubert Stanley Tillman in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they resided in Cypress, California for 30 years, until her retirement in 1990. In 1992 they moved to Hood River to be closer to family. She was very involved in the Kiwanianne Club and bowling prior to moving to Hood River. She enjoyed dining, traveling, horses, crafts and painting. Time spent with her son Tim and grandson Jordan was special as she loved family gatherings and time together. Survivors include her son Tim Tillman, Napa, California; Grandson Jordan Tillman, Sacramento, California; nephews Chuck Peterson and his wife, Vicki, Hood River; Mick Peterson and his wife, Judy, and Vincent Immer and his wife, Connie, all of Parkdale (Oregon); Bob Briley and his wife, Sue, and Rick Briley all of California; nieces Judy Briley of California and Bev and her husband Kim Bell of Parkdale; and numerous great nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2003 at 10 a.m. at Anderson's Tribute Center.
