The Dalles Weekly Reminder, April 25, 1988
Christina Temelis, 82, died March 21, 1988 in Yakima, Wash., where she was a 
resident for the last nine years.

A resident of The Dalles for 52 years Mrs. Themelis was born Oct. 23, 1905, in 
Ahladokampos Argos, Greece.  She was raised in Greece.  She was a member of 
Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Seattle, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gus on August 17, 1939.

Her surviving family includes one son, James G. Themelis, of Yakima, Wash.; 
one daughter, Helen Derezes of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Dina Aralles and 
Helen Diamondopoulos of Chicago, Ill; brothers, Gus Lombardias and Pete 
Lombardias both of Greece; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 24 at Smith Callaway Chapel with 
Father Elias Stephanopoulos of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Portland, 
officiating.  Burial was at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
