The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 7, 1982
     Alma Tenold, 86, a longtime resident of The Dalles, died May 2 at a 
Portland hospital.
     She was born July 16, 1895 in The Dalles, and lived here all her life 
except between 1917 and 1920 when she lived in South Dakota, and between 1951 
and 1961 when she lived in Portland.
     Survivors include a son, Earl Tenold, The Dalles; two daughters, Mrs. 
Albert (Mildred) Elton, The Dalles, and Mrs. Elliott (Alice) Meeks, Boring; 
nine grandchildren, Rich Tenold, The Dalles; Stan Tenold, Cupertino, Calif.; 
Bob Tenold, Portland; David James, Steven and Gary Meeks, all of Portland; 
Terry Elton in Italy, and Mrs. Doug (Pat) Bartels, Boise, Idaho; and 12 great-
grandchildren.  Her husband Ingebrigt, died in 1961.
     Funeral services were yesterday (Thursday) at Spencer, Libby & Powell 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Egerton Long officiating.  Burial followed at 
Parklawn Cemetery in The Dalles.
     Casketbearers were Richard, Stanley and Robert Tenold, and James, Steven 
and Gary Meeks.
     Memorials are suggested to the Oregon Heart Fund in care of U.S. National 
Bank.
