He was born April 20, 1950, in Winnemucca, Nev., the second of three children to Bertram LeWayne and Mary Ann (Baker) Taylor. He grew up in The Dalles, attending Petersburg Grade School and Wahtonka High School. He was very active in Alcoholics Anonymous and was elected by local members to the position of GSR. He enjoyed people, cars, working on his classic bus and stained glass artwork. He is survived by his wife, Babette; his daughter, Season Taylor, Salem; his stepchildren, Savanah and T.J.; his sisters, Linda Neary and her husband, John, The Dalles; Vicki Rasler, Yucca Valley, Calif. and his stepmother, Caring (Sarmiento) Taylor, The Dalles. He was preceded in death by his father, Bertram "Bud," in September 2002. Memorial services were held at The Dalles Moose Lodge at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23, with Rev. Lloyd Commander officiating. Honorary pallbearers were John Neary, Aaron Vareberg, Don Wolff, Roger Hayes, Tony Commander and Dan Barnhouse. Private cremation held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
