The Dalles Weekly Reminder, July 12, 1984
Albert Howard Taylor, 67, died Monday July 2, in a nursing home in Medford.  
He was a former resident of Condon.

Mr. Taylor was born Jan. 10, 1917 in Condon, the son of Lawrence and Mamie 
Taylor, and grew up in the Arlington area.  He married Lela Marie Miller on 
July 6, 1943 in Pampa, Texas.  He served in the Air Force for 20 years and 
retired in 1962 with the rank of major.

Mr. Taylor was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford.

He is survived by his wife Lela; three sons, Lawrence, Ashland; John, Eugene; 
and Albert Jr., Corvallis; a brother Lawrence Leroy Taylor II, The Dalles; 
four sisters, Grace Frantz, The Dalles; Sister Grace Taylor, Mt. Angel; Hazel 
Knepper, Portland; and Eunice Kruse, San Diego, Calif.  He is preceded in 
death by a sister.

A rosary was held Friday, July 6 at Conger-Morris Downtown Chapel, Medford.  
The funeral mass was Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. 
Robert W. Krueger officiating.

Graveside service Monday, July 9, at St. Peter Cemetery, The Dalles, with the 
Rev. Timothy Mockaitis of St. Peter Catholic Church officiating.
