The Dalles Weekly Reminder, April 15, 1988
     Crystal LaVern Talbot, 72, died at a local nursing home April 9.  She was 
a resident of The Dalles for 26 years.
     She was born Nov. 11, 1915 in Hastings, N.D.  She worked for many years 
as a legal secretary and retired for the firm of Heisler and Van Valkenburgh 
in 1981.  She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
     She is survived by her husband, Harold O. of The Dalles; a son, Judson 
Joe Talbot of Seattle; a daughter, Penelope Sue Zeiler of Milwaukie; four 
grandchildren.
     Private funeral services were held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral 
Home officiated by the Rev. Eugene Schooler.  Memorials are suggested to the 
American Cancer Society.
