The Dalles Chronicle, February 8, 2006
     Geraldine Ann “Jeri Ann” Szabo, 77, a resident of The Dalles, died at her 
home on Monday, Feb. 6, 2006.
     She was born in Mondovi, Wis., on July 30, 1928, the oldest of four to 
Ralph Herman Schultz and Frances Irene (Beeson) Schultz Hyland. She grew up in 
Helena, Mont., where she graduated from high school. 
     She married Stephen Szabo in Phillipsburg, N.J., on July 4, 1946. She has 
lived most of her adult life in Gresham, and the last four years in The 
Dalles.  She was a homemaker, enjoyed being with her family and was a member 
of the Catholic Church. 
     She is survived by her son Steve L. Szabo and his wife Karen, Baker City; 
her daughter Marvia Allsop and her husband Walter, The Dalles; her brother 
Ronnie Schultz, Utah; and her sister, Marge Berg, Utah; eight grandchildren; 
13 great-grand children; and one great great-grandchild.
     She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Szabo; one grand child 
and one great grand child.
     Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory with 
Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
     There will be an Irish wake on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006 from 5 p.m. to 
midnight at The Dalles Eagles Lodge.
