The Dalles Chronicle, May 3, 2005
     Mary Lorane Stull, 80, a resident of The Dalles, died Saturday, April 30, 
2005 at her home.
     She was born May 17, 1924, in Baker City, to Harvey and Edith (Bryson) 
Spivey. She married Ross G. Stull on February 19, 1947, and they lived in 
Oregon, Washington and Montana before settling in Fairbanks, Alaska, where 
they lived for 15 years.
     Active in her community, she took part in the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 
the Loyal Order of Moose, and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, 
holding offices in each. She ran a bingo supply business for several years 
before retiring and moving to The Dalles in 1984 to be closer to her children 
and grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her yard and flowerbeds, playing 
bingo and pinochle, knitting and crocheting, and making her annual birthday 
trip to Reno to celebrate with her daughters.
     In addition to her husband, Ross, The Dalles, survivors include her 
daughters and their families Anne and Ken Gronwald, Portland; Ellen and Bud 
Lord, Goldendale; Jessie and Leo Kochis, The Dalles. Also surviving are 
grandchildren and their spouses Karla and Carl Perry, Vancouver, Wash.; Cindy 
and Jerry Eder, Elko, Nev.; Jim and Kim Jordan, Seaside; Gregg Murphy, 
Portland; Michael and Liz Murphy, Azusa, Calif.; Mark Lord and Mary Ellen 
Lord, Goldendale; Wash. Lee and Becky Kochis and Chris Kochis, The Dalles. 
There are 12 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. 
     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter 
Eddie Jordan, her great-grandson Carl Thomas Dunn, and her great-great-
granddaughter Victoria Lynn Gassner.
     A celebration of life gathering will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on 
Thursday, May 5, at The Dalles Eagles Lodge, Seventh and Walnut Streets. 
     Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of The Gorge, 751 Myrtle 
Street, The Dalles, OR 97058. Arrangements are by Columbia Cremation & Burial.
