The Dalles Weekly Reminder, March 27, 1987
     Ethel A. Strong, 90, died March 17 in The Dalles.  She was a resident of 
Wasco and The Dalles for many years.
     Mrs. Strong was born Oct. 15, 1896 in Longmont, Colo.  She was a member 
of Gateway Presbyterian Church, and a member for 64 years of the Annie Fulton 
Chapter 78 Order of Eastern Star of which she was a past Worthy Matron.
     She is survived by her daughter, Helen Watkins of Wasco; granddaughter, 
Phyllis K. Ulman of Portland; granddaughter, Shirley E. Blaylock of Moro; 
three great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters and one great-great-
grandson.
     Funeral services were held at Smith Callaway Chapel, followed by private 
mausoleum entombment at the IOOF Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Gateway 
Presbyterian Church.
