The Dalles Weekly Reminder, February 26, 1988
Jessie Alice Stofer, 89, a resident of The Dalles since 1945, died at a local 
nursing home Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Mrs. Stofer was born July 13, 1898 in Grass Valley to Francis and Alice 
(Gaines) Clark.  She married Phil T. Stofer in 1916.  He died in January 
1986.  She was a member of Dufur Christian Church and the Royal Neighbor Lodge.

She is survived by one son, Raymond C. Stofer, Woodside, Calif.; one daughter, 
Phyllis Teutsch, Camas, Wash., and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home Friday, 
Feb. 19 with Pastor Asa Jensen officiating.  Private interment followed at 
Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas, Wash.  Pallbearers were Richard and Douglas 
Teutsch, Don and Ron Brice, Bob Carter and Bruce Stofer.
