The Dalles Weekly Reminder, February 2, 1984
     Mary Irene Squeri, 86, a resident of The Dalles for five years and 
formerly a resident of New York City, died Saturday at a local nursing home.

     She was born Oct 1., 1897 in Kankanee, Ill.

     Mrs. Squeri was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, the St. Cecilia 
Circle of the Alter Society and the VFW Auxiliary Post 2471.

     Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Ruby Cheadle, The Dalles; two stepsons, 
David Squeri, New York, and Dick Squeri, New Jersey; a stepdaughter, Irene 
Serile, New York, and numerous nieces and nephews.

     Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Long Island City, N.Y.

     Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
