The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 3, 1984
     Fred Lee Spivey, 64, died at a local nursing home Tuesday.  He had lived 
in The Dalles all his life.

     He was born May 6, 1919 in LaGrande.

     Survivors include four children, Fred Lee Spivey Jr., Sharon Boland, 
Patricia Young and Shirley Spivey, all of Iowa; two brothers, Glenn Spivey, 
Portland, and William S. Spivey, Anchorage, Alaska; and a sister, Johnnie 
Vetter, Portland.

     Graveside funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery 
in LaGrande.

     Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
