Sorenson, 88, a resident of The Dalles, died March 28, 2003 at a local nursing home. She was born February 13, 1915 in Buell, Oregon, the daughter of Frank W. and Augusta (Muller) Biggs. She grew up in Amity (Oregon) where she graduated from high school in 1933. After school the family moved to Portland. In 1952 they moved to McMinnville (Oregon), then to Phoenix (Oregon) in 1958, and in The Dalles off and on in the 60s and 70s, and again in 1990 to the present. While in The Dalles, she and her husband owned and operated Farm and Ranch Brokers and also worked in the motel business and farmed. She liked to hunt, fish, travel, and crochet. She is survived by her son Richard Bosshardt, Louisville, Colorado, her daughter Valerie Raymond, The Dalles, a step-son, Jerry Sorenson, Bend (Oregon), and step-daughter Lynne Walker, Bandon (Oregon). Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Sier in 1992 and by two brothers and two sisters. Viewing visitation is Monday, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Chapel of Macy & Son, 135 North Evans, McMinnville, Oregon. Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Asa Jensen presiding. Interment is at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in McMinnville.
