The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 31, 1984
     Florence H. Soll, 89, who was born January 15, 1895 in The Dalles died 
Wednesday at the hospital.  Graveside services took place in the Odd Fellows 
Cemetery with the Rev. Karl Vercouteren officiating.

     She is survived by a sister, Victoria Thompson, The Dalles; two grand-
nieces:  Mary Anna Ives, Mercer Island, Wash.; and Paula Paulson, Kirkland, 
Wash.; a grand-nephew:  Len Thompson, Akron, Ohio; a cousin: Olthea Whiteman, 
Portland.  Her husband, Hans, died in 1963.

     Mrs. Soll was bookkeeper for the Roth-Brewer Grocery which was located on 
the corner of Federal and Second Street and for the A.M. Williams Co. and 
later the Walther Williams Garage.

     Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Smith Callaway Chapel.
