The Dalles Weekly Reminder, March 15, 1984
     Funeral services for Daniel Ray Snell were Wednesday at the Bateman 
Funeral Chapel in Gresham with interment at Kelly Cemetery in Maupin.

     Daniel was born in Portland Oct. 16, 1965, the son of DeWayne and Gloria 
Snell.  He died March 10, 1984 in Maupin from injuries suffered in a hunting 
accident.  He was 18 years old.

     As a young boy he attended Cottrel Grade School in the Gresham area and 
later moved to Maupin where he attended Wasco County High School.  He had also 
attended Portland Community College.

     He had most recently been employed by Mollers Nursery of Gresham.  He was 
an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.

     He is survived by his parents and their spouses DeWayne and Cookie Snell 
of Maupin, and Gloria and Ken Beaudoin of Sandy.  There is a brother DeWayne 
K. Snell of the USMC in Hawaii, a sister Dee Anna Biltz of Troutdale, 
grandparents Tillie and Claire Snell of Gresham, and Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Eblen 
of Boring.  Also surviving are a step-sister Tina R. Snell of Maupin, and half-
brothers Ron, Larry, Jay, Jeff, Wink, and Tim Beaudoin.

     The family suggest remembrances may be made to the Maupin Ambulance Fund, 
Maupin, Oregon 97037.
