The Dalles Weekly Reminder, September 15, 1983
     Wilburn H. Sloan, 66, a resident of The Dalles since 1952, died Monday at 
his home.
     He was born Feb. 28, 1917 in Marshall, Tex.
     He served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
     Survivors include his wife, Kathleen, The Dalles; a son, Donald, in 
Florida; two daughters, Jeanette Rogerson, Boring, and Linda Heldstab, The 
Dalles; five grandchildren, David and Jeff Heldstab, The Dalles; Tracy Deits, 
The Dalles, and Jim Rotherlin and Stacey Rogerson, Boring; a sister Betty, and 
a brother, Milton, both of Miami, Fla.
     Funeral services were today (Thursday) at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral 
Home with the Rev. Delmer Anderson officiating.  Burial will be at Avon Park, 
Fla.
