Sinor, 70, a resident of the Mid-Columbia area since the 1940s and a longtime resident of Rufus, died Sunday at a local nursing home. He was born Dec. 7, 1917 to Enos and Lilly (Haskill) Sinor in Baxter County, Arkansas. He was a heavy equipment operator and had worked on construction jobs throughout Oregon and elsewhere. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local No. 701 and served with the Seabees in World War II. Survivors include a daughter, Leoda Misfeldt, Grants Pass; four sons, Larry, Mosier; Howard, Dallesport, Wash.; Steve, Boardman and Kenneth, Oregon City; a brother, James Sinor, Yuma, Ariz.; a sister, Novella Lowe, Mount Home, Ark., and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Wasco Sunrise Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerry Tanquist officiating.
