The Dalles Weekly Reminder, January 29, 1982
     Thomas Simonson, 88, a resident of Moro, for 18 months, died Jan. 22 at 
the local hospital.
     He was born Dec. 5, 1893 at Finley, North Dakota where he lived most of 
his life.  He was previously manager of an advertising sign company in Finley, 
N.D.
     He was a member of the Finley American Lutheran Church, and a member of 
the American Legion of Finley for 64 years.  He was also a member of World War 
I veteran organizations.
   Survivors include his wife; Agnes M. Simonson of Moro; a daughter, Mrs. 
Donald (Delores) DeMoss, Moro; a brother, Bennie of Finley; three sisters; 
Mrs. Rachael Egediusen, Finley; Mrs. Ellen Gilbertson, Grand Forks, N.D.; and 
Selma Main, Van Nuys, Calif.; two grandchildren, Carol Sather, Kent; Connie 
Erickson, Portland and three great-grandchildren.
     Services were at Smith Callaway Chapel Jan. 27, and burial is planned at 
the Finley Lutheran Church.
     Services in The Dalles were officiated by Rev. Angus Crocker.
     Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
