He was born August 1, 1939, in The Dalles, the older of two children to Roscoe Raymond and Gertrude Orlena (Bryant) Sexton. He graduated from The Dalles High School with the class of 1957 and then served in the U.S. Navy until discharged for medical reasons. After the Navy, he returned to The Dalles and worked as a truck driver for several companies, retiring from Jack Grey Trucking due to health reasons in April 2002. He enjoyed pottery, wood-working, metalworking, model steam trains and his animals. He is survived by his wife Helen Marie (Neiman) Sexton, whom he married on August 8, 1964, in Enterprise (Oregon) of The Dalles; his sister, Patricia Day, Las Vegas, Nevada; aunt and uncle, Evert and Veda Sexton, Coeur D'Alene, Idaho; and his dog Murphy. He was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe in April 1967 and his mother, Orlena in March 2002. A gathering of friends will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, at Cousin's Restaurant (The Dalles). Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
