The Dalles Weekly Reminder, March 4, 1988
Phyllis Ellen Scott, 95, died Feb. 25 in Portland.

Born Sept. 20, 1892, Mrs. Scott was a resident of The Dalles from 1937 to 
1970.  She worked for The Dalles General Hospital for many years.

Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband James Marvin Scott in 1959; 
two daughters, Mildred Vail, 1971, and Margaret Miller, 1945; and a son Albert 
Dean Scott, 1923.

She is survived by two daughters, Lela Gibson of The Dalles, Mrs. Helen Colby 
of Portland; son Raymond H. Scott of Prineville, Ore.; two sisters, Marjorie 
Denley of The Dalles and Margaret Boeken of Iola, Kansas; 11 grandchildren, 
numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Feb. 29 at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Pasor 
Jerry Emra officiating.  Smith-Callaway Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
