     Margaret B. Schwindt, 87, a resident of The Dalles, died at a local care 
facility on Monday, Nov. 3, 2003.
     She was born March 15, 1916 in Portland, the second of three children to 
LeRoy and Josephine L. (Hubbard) Eby. She grew up and attended schools in 
Portland, graduating from Girls Poly Tech High School.
     She married Henry G. Schwindt on Dec. 16, 1939 in Portland, and lived 
there until moving to The Dalles in September 1999. 
     She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and enjoyed homemaking, 
crafts, knitting and quilting for church events.
     She is survived by three children and their spouses, Shirley and Ronald 
Emerick, Rainier; William and Patti Schwindt, Portland; Jim and Perniecie 
Schwindt, The Dalles; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several 
nieces and nephews.
     Viewing visitation will be held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home 
on Wednesday, November 5, from 2 to 7 p.m.
     Funeral services will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church in Portland at 
1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003 with Pastor John Wallace officiating. Interment 
will follow at Rose City Cemetery in Portland with Spencer,Libby and Powell 
Funeral Home in care of arrangements. 
     Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church, 6025 NE Prescott, 
Portland, OR 97218.
