The Dalles Weekly Reminder, January 26, 1996
     Donna Marie Schlachter, 62, a longtime resident of The Dalles, died in 
Hillsboro on Jan. 19, 1996.
     She was born June 15, 1933 in The Dalles to parents Kenneth and Eva 
(Bartlemay) Milliken.  She moved with her family to many areas throughout the 
mid-Columbia.  She graduated from high school in Redmond in 1951 then married 
Joe Devine and had three children.  Later she married Neil Rogerson and they 
had two children.
     She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary in The Dalles, and enjoyed 
various arts and crafts, operating a ceramic studio in The Dalles from 1979 to 
1984.
     She is survived by her husband, George Schlachter of Hermiston; 
children:  Linda Cowart of Yamhill, Bill Devine of Memphis, Tenn., Bob Devine 
of Hillsboro, Wade Rogerson of The Dalles and Steve Rogerson of Pembroke, Ga.; 
stepson, Creston Rogerson of Madras; 11 grandchildren; sister Barbara Fultz of 
Redmond.
     Memorial services were held at Smith Callaway Chapel in The Dalles on 
Tuesday, Jan. 23 with the Rev. Tim Clemenson officiating.  A reception 
followed at the Eagles Lodge in The Dalles.
     Memorials:  American Cancer Society, sent in care of Smith Callaway 
Chapel, 311 Union Street, The Dalles, OR 97058.
