Surnames: Schilling, Todd, Rhinehart, Galley Donald Arthur Schilling, 66, a resident of Grass Valley (Oregon), died at Moro (Oregon), on Monday, February 24, 2003. He was born June 2, 1936, in The Dalles, the second of four children to Arthur and Margaret Janet (Todd) Schilling. He grew up in Grass Valley and graduated from Moro High School and then attended Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls (Oregon). He served four years in the US Navy from September 1954 to July 1958, and then returned to the family farm in Grass Valley. When his father retired, Don took over the operation of the farm. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and collecting miniature tractors. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Ann (Rhinehart) Schilling, whom he married March 28, 1964, in Wasco (Oregon); his sons, Troy Schilling and his wife, Dana, serving in the US Army in Fairbanks, Alaska, and Adam Schilling, Grass Valley; granddaughters, Brittany and Caroline, his brother, Eugene Schilling, Grass Valley; and sister, Diane Galley, Elk, Washington. He was preceded in death by his brother, Carl, in December 1996. Memorial services will be held at the Grass Valley Baptist Church at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Remembrances may be made to the Sherman County Museum, P.O.
