The Dalles Weekly Reminder, Feb 5, 1982
     Mrs. Christine Riddell Sarsfield, 86, a former resident of The Dalles, 
and a resident of Los Altos, Calif. for the past 10 years, died Jan. 26 in Los 
Altos.
     Mrs. Sarsfield was born Aug. 27, 1895 at Idowa, Neb.
     Survivors include two sons, Anthony Sarsfield, Centerville, Wash., 
Francis L. Sarsfield, San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Frances Scholz, Los 
Altos, Ruth Corey, Perris, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and 
nephews.
     Her husband, Frank, a former rancher at The Dalles, died in 1961.
     Funeral services were at The Dalles Jan. 30 with the Mass of the 
Christian Burial at St. Peter Catholic Church.
     Burial at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery was under the direciton of Smith 
Callaway Chapel.
