The Dalles Chronicle, March 1, 2006
     Delores Diana Ruddell, 50, a former resident of Grass Valley, The Dalles 
and Rufus, died at The Hood River Care Center on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006.
     She was born in Akran, Colo., on Jan. 22, 1956 to Irvan Carl and Delpha 
Mae (Akes) Becker. They moved to Molalla, in her early years, and she married 
Jay Lynn Ruddell on March 8, 1972. They also resided in Klamath Falls.
     She enjoyed jewelry, dogs and she greatly enjoyed her most recent job at 
The Hood River Care Center and the coworkers she shared time with.
     She is survived by her two sisters, Jodi, California; and Thelma, Mill 
City; her two brothers Henry and Tommy, both of Molalla; her two sons, Billy, 
Wasco; and Jay Lynn Jr.; her daughter Shawn, The Dalles; her granddaughter 
Dawn Elizabeth, The Dalles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her husband , Jay Lynn; her parents; her 
sister, Freda; her brother, Rick and a grand-daughter twin a t birth.
     Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-Quatt Crematory with 
Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Funeral 
services will be held Friday, March 3, at 3 p.m. at Willamette National 
Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland.
