The Dalles Weekly Reminder, February 12, 1988
     Millicent Calla Rowe, 91, died Feb. 3 at a local nursing home.  She was a 
resident of Rowena for 20 years, formerly of Hermiston.
     Mrs. Rowe was born Dec. 25, 1896 in Logan, Iowa.  She was an active 
member of Azalea Rebekah Lodge and was also a member of the AARP and VFW 
Auxiliary.
     She is survived by her husband, Lee Rowe of Rowena, to whom she was 
married in Aug. 1942; a son, Frank Huston of Auburn, Wash; a daughter, Mabel 
Hughes of Rufus; two step-daughters, Leona DePizza of LaPine and Marie Drazil 
of Malin; a stepson, Jerry Rowe of Portland; numerous grandchildren and great-
grandchildren; a sister.
     Funeral services were held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home with 
Rev. George Clark and the Azalea Lodge officiating.  Memorials are suggested 
to the Oregon Heart Association.
