The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 27, 1984
     Randall Wilson Rood, 23, died Dec. 17 of Cancer.  He was the son of Gary 
Rood, administrator of Mid-Columbia Medical Center, and Mrs. Robert Swanberg, 
Woodland, Washington.
     He had worked at The Dalles during summer vacation.
     For a short time prior to hospitalization he was a senior at Walla Walla 
College, College Place, Wash., this fall.
     He is survived by his wife, Kimberly and their six-month-old daughter 
Lyndsay, two sisters:  Debi Shaffer, Ridgefield, Wash.; and Tami, Woodland, 
Wash.
     The family has suggested memorials in the name of Randy Rood, Mid-
Columbia Health Foundation, 19th and Nevada Street, The Dalles, Ore., 97058.
     Funeral services were Dec. 20 at the Meadow Glade, Wash., Seventh-day 
Adventist Church.  Viewing and burial was private.
